Godfather of Ska records new album: October
will see the final stages of
Laurel Aitken recordings with Court
Jester's Crew Their joint effort will be released on Grover
Records in early December. Laurel will tour extensively with CJC – four
November shows in Switzerland and Italy are confirmed, to be followed
by ten dates in Germany in December.

Peacocks added to Intensified show: Swiss
Punkabilly trio peacocks have been added to the bill of Intensified's
show in Dortmund next Friday, October 6th. Check our tour dates section

Babyshakers: Mark Foggo's new project
'Babyshakers' present their brandnew CD 'Shake The Baby' (released today
on Skanky 'Lil Records). Mark will perform two two sets as part of the
Dutch Ska Explosion package: One set will be the Babyshakers' mix of Ska
and Rockabily, one set will be his Skasters' classics.

Gerry Lee & The Wanted Men on
Tour: Elmo Records' newest signing will go on tour in Germany
from October 3rd. Three member from Germany's best Western Swing band
are known from many years in Monkey Shop.

New York Ska Jazz Ensemble starting
October 20th, Rocksteady Freddie's Crew will do a four week tour to promoter
their new single 'Properly', which will see a CD and vinyl release on
Grover Records on October 23rd.

Ska Explosion It is confirmed that the former members of Hollands
most famous ska band Mr. Review will
perform two different sets within the package: guitarist and songwriter
Arne will perform new songs, and will join singer Dr. Rude later in the
evening for a set of Mr. Review's classics.

Malarians have split up
– musical differences seam to be the main reason. There's a ray of hope
for a reunion after a long break, but for the near future, the band members
will take a break or focus on other projects.

just announced their next European tour when we got word about the untimely
end of this great band. Watch this space for more details!

Ska Explosion tour: the line up has been confirmed - Mark Foggo,
Beatbusters and the Babyshakers (a new side shoot of Foggo, mixing ska
and rockabilly) plus a new project by Mr. Review's Dr. Rude and Arne Visser
(no name for this projectconfirmed to date). See tour dates for confirmed
shows.

- Dr. Calypso release their third
album Barbarossaplatz on Grover Records towards the end of summer. The
album has already been released in Spain on CD format, Grover Records
will also release a vinyl version. Catalonias most famous ska band will
tour central Europe from 27.10. to 5.11. Barbaroassplatz takes its name
from a bus stop in Cologne, close to the studio where the album was produced
by Ekki Maas (producer of Dr. Ring-Ding & TSA and Monkey Shop, to name
a few)
Dr. Ring-Ding & The Senior Allstars
are working on a new album - the street date has not been confirmed yet,
though it looks likely to be released in October. The band will tour extensively
in the fall, until then they do a lot of festival shows all over Europe
(see Dates).
Not
long after the release of their brilliant 2nd album Too High For Low,
Court Jesters Crew are set to record
a new single. Rumblin Roger, who had a guest spot with CJC on the entire
Skankin Round The X-Mas Tree Tour, has now joined the band for good.

Mailorder have published a new catalogue (summer/fall 2000);
you can pick it up at a lot of gigs, or order it directly (see Mailorder).
The
Skoidats have cancelled their Euro tour for August/September.
