The Senior Allstars - Germany

They were already internationally wellknown as part of the group Dr. Ring-Ding & The Senior Allstars when they started their own project. The reason was and still is their deep love for (Jamaican) and instrumental music.

Since 1998 The Senior Allstars play concerts and festivals, they also released 2 albums plus a single and were presented on several samplers. Now their new recording, called ‚Red Leaf' will come out on Grover Records.

The subtitle ‚Reggae - Jazz - Dub' describes the musical frame of the quintet and they make it sound like the most natural synthesis of styles. The Senior Allstars pick up the tradition of instrumental music which was played by jamaican studio bands in the early years of Ska and Reggae and mix it with some Dub elements.

‚Red Leaf' sounds lively but not hectical, relaxed but not monotonous... and this atmosphere you can also feel at their shows. Comfortable!
